Founded in 2011, Castleknock Cricket Club began with a small group of local cricket enthusiasts and has grown into a thriving sporting organisation within a few short years. What started with friendly cup matches quickly evolved into full participation in the Cricket Leinster league system by 2012.
From these humble beginnings, the club has steadily built a reputation for competitive spirit, teamwork and community engagement. Over the years we’ve celebrated numerous successes across league divisions and cup competitions, reflecting both our ambition on the field and our supportive culture off it.

We believe that cricket is more than just a game, it builds character, teamwork, friendships and lifelong memories.

At Castleknock Cricket Club, our culture is built around:
1) Respect
We treat teammates, opponents, officials, and supporters with fairness, courtesy, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
2) Integrity
We uphold honesty, accountability, and ethical conduct in everything we do, ensuring the spirit of cricket remains at the heart of our club.
3) Inclusivity
We welcome players of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and cultures, creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone belongs.
4) Teamwork
We believe success is built on unity, communication, and collective effort putting the team above individual achievement.
5) Continuous Improvement
We are committed to developing our players, coaches, and club standards every season, striving to grow stronger both competitively and personally.

We proudly calls Porterstown Park as our home ground. Located in the heart of Dublin 15, our ground provides a welcoming and accessible setting for players, families, and supporters alike.
Set within a vibrant community environment, our facilities at Porterstown Park serve as the centre of all club activity from competitive league fixtures governed by Cricket Leinster to youth training sessions and community events.
Our ground represents more than just a place to play cricket. It is where:
We are committed to maintaining high standards in pitch preparation, training facilities, and match-day organisation to ensure a professional and enjoyable experience for all participants.
As our club continues to grow, so does our ambition to further develop our facilities strengthening our home ground as a hub for cricket in West Dublin.

We fields multiple senior teams competing across various divisions within the league structure governed by Cricket Leinster. Our senior section combines competitive ambition with inclusivity, offering opportunities for experienced cricketers, developing players, and those returning to the game after a break.
Over the years, our senior teams have achieved notable success, securing multiple league titles and divisional championships a testament to the club’s steady growth, strong leadership, and commitment to performance. These achievements reflect not only talent on the field but also the hard work, discipline, and unity that define our squad culture.
Regular training sessions, structured match preparation, and a professional approach to game-day standards underpin our senior setup. At the same time, we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment where camaraderie and respect are just as important as results.
Our senior programme continues to evolve each season, driven by the ambition to compete at higher levels while staying true to the community values that shape our club identity.
Youth cricket is central to our long-term vision and the continued growth of our club. We believe that investing in young players today builds the foundation for tomorrow’s success both on and off the field.
Our junior programme provides structured, age-group coaching designed to develop core cricketing skills in a progressive and engaging way.
Sessions are delivered by qualified and experienced coaches who focus not only on technical ability, but also on building confidence, teamwork, and discipline.
We are proud to offer:
Young players benefit from regular training, match exposure, and mentorship from senior members of the club. As they progress, they are gradually introduced to higher levels of competition, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition into senior cricket when ready.
Above all, we are committed to nurturing not only skilled cricketers, but confident, respectful, and resilient young individuals who carry the values of the game into everyday life.
